Artwork and proofing
Print-ready artwork is usually supplied as a PDF with correct bleed, trim, safe area, image quality, and colour setup. If you only have logos, photos, or a Canva concept, say so in the quote request so design time can be allowed.
Always proof dates, public holidays, business details, sponsor names, QR codes, and phone numbers before approving.
- Ask for an artwork check if you are unsure.
- Send original image files rather than screenshots.
- Return one consolidated proof change list.
- Do not approve until every date panel has been checked.
Timing and turnaround
Calendar demand is seasonal. Jobs needed for November, December, January, school terms, conferences, or fundraising campaigns should start early.
The safest quote request includes the date you need calendars in hand, not just the date you hope they go to print.
- Allow time for design, proofing, print, packing, and freight.
- Start earlier if sponsors, committees, or multiple branches need approval.
- Tell us your delivery postcode and any fixed event date.
Formats and quantities
The right format depends on how the calendar will be used. DL is strong for mailouts, magnetic calendars suit homes and workshops, wall calendars suit images and fundraising, and desk calendars suit corporate gifts.
Quantity affects production method and unit pricing, so send a target quantity or a range.
- Use DL or easy-mail formats for economical distribution.
- Use A4/A3 wall calendars when images are important.
- Use desk/tent calendars for office visibility.
- Use sponsor-panel formats for clubs, schools, and charities.
